Poti Martin has been a sound designer and engineer for over 30 years, and is specialized in musical theatre, with vast experience on international productions.

 

Some of his credits as sound designer include 9 to 5, Kinky Boots, School of Rock, Evita,  As You Like It, Privacidad, Jesus Christ Superstar, Bailo Bailo, Sunset Boulevard, North by Northwest, Street Scene,  The Last Confession, The Railway Children, We Will Rock You, Malinche... And as associate sound designer, some of his credits are The Sound of Music, BackBeat, Legally Blonde, Saturday Night Fever, Street of Dreams, The Producers.

 

He became associate sound designer for Mamma Mia in Europe, having done this production in places like Moscow, Helsinki, Aarhus, Berlin, Oberhausen, St Petersburg, Guangzhou, Copenhagen, Oslo, Vienna, Milan, Madrid or Barcelona.

 

He was sound supervisor for Stage Entertainment Spain from 2003 to 2011. During this period worked in shows like Cats, Cabaret, The Producers, Beauty and the Beast, Les Miserables, Chicago, Saturday Night Fever, Mamma Mia, High School Musical, Victor Victoria among others. This collaboration continues to this day having worked with them in shows like The Bodyguard, Anastasia, Tina or Aladdin.

In his facet as a sound system designer he has worked in a large number of clubs (he has extensive knowledge in immersive sound) and Theatres. Now he is working to renew the sound system of one of the most prominent venues of the Spanish National Theatre, María Guerrero.

 

Poti Martin also has a large background as recording studio engineer, having worked 3 years at Boundary Row Studios, London. He also owned a recording studio in Madrid and a sound rental company, having designed the sound for innumerable events including a large selection of artists.

 

In addition, he also has large experience as lecturer and teacher, giving master classes and conferences of theatre sound design and mixing.
